I always wanted to be a Marine Biologist, but was unable to fulfill that dream. However, I was able to fulfill another related dream - to swim with wild dolphins in the open sea.

A few years ago, I went on the Wildquest Dolphin Swim program. Far from land, I jumped into the open sea, and swam with wild spotted dolphins. From that experience, I began a series of watercolor paintings that captured the magical experience, as well as my representation of their auras as the dolphins swam around me.

I also love dogs, especially the big goofy dogs, like my brother's honey-colored Golden Retriever, MITSU! See more of her in the Landscapes page.

Final - Underwater Snorkel -
see the Whale's Eye and
the White Tip Reef Shark?
I've swam with them all!

April '07 - I swam with green sea turtles again, and then - surprize - with a white tip reef shark! I also used my underwater camera to videotape fish/turtles, and in the sound bytes - you can hear whales singing nearby in the sea. So now I have to paint myself swimming with a shark and the whales too!
